WATERBURY- Mrs. Adriana (Romano) Solla, 85, beloved wife of Celestino “Charlie” Solla, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Adriana was born in Benevento, Italy on June 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Enrico and Vicenzina (Lese) Romano. Shortly after being married in Italy in 1967, Adriana and Charlie moved to Waterbury and have lived here ever since. Adriana was devoted to her family and loved to cook huge holiday meals. She was also an excellent seamstress and enjoyed gardening with her husband. Andriana enjoyed a long life blessed by the love of family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her devoted husband of 54 years, are her daughter, Antoinette “Toni” and her husband Joseph Cianciolo, her son, Italo and his wife, Jennifer Solla all of Wolcott, her four grandchildren; James and Sara Cianciolo, and David and Christian Solla. She was predeceased by all of her siblings in Italy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Solla will be held on Friday August 5, 2022 at 10 am at the St. Michael Church 62 St. Michael Drive in Waterbury. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott. Relatives and friends may visit with Adriana’s family on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury, CT 06705.
